Another Tri-Tronics Problem

Post by Nummer's Beagles »

I have owned my Classic 70 exp for a little over a year now and all of the sudden the collar will not tone nor stimulate. It will turn off and on just fine and blinks green like normal but will not tone or shock. Now I borrowed my brother in laws classic 70 and went to use it tonight and one of his collars is doing the exact same thing. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. It sounds like the G-2 collars are having some time of problems with them.

Try to remarry the transmitter and reciever?

Mine done the same thing. It ended being the battery. I called tri-tronics and they suggested to remove the battery from the receiver and charge the battery 3 complete charges. If this doens't fix it, you will have to replace the battery. They have 2yr warrenty on them. They replace mine without any hassel. You can also swap battries to a different colar to make sure it is not the receiver. Hope this helps.

I had one that was doing it a few weeks ago. It wouldn't even re-marry to the transmitter. I called tri-tronics and sent it in I had it back in 2 weeks they gave me a brand new receiver. It was on warranty so I only got charged for the shipping.

The lady said it was from letting the battery die, it messes something up in the reciever. She said that with the new trickle chargers that you can leave them on there all the time, and they won't over charge and thats the best thing for them.
