Hello, I just joined the board.
I got my first beagles back in 1995, when I first got my house.
I hunted and raised slow, black blanket, 13 inch dogs up until 2003, when I had four of my best dogs get run over, when they got out of a friend's kennel, while I was on vacation. I ended up giving my other dogs away.
I just got back into beagles last August.
I gun hunt with dogs some, but mostly I run my dogs with a friend's red tail hawk.
It is a terribly inefficent way to hunt, but a lot of fun and very exciting.
I will probably apprentice in falconry, in the next year or two.
I am hoping to do some trialing when I get my dogs up to speed.
