Re: Question
My opinion of a cold nosed dog is one that will bark a LOT before the rabbit is jumped. Usually an older rabbit track. Sometimes you will find a dog that will do this on frost

Re: Question
When your dog has been out in the kennel during a snow storm----oh wait, sorry!
I thought that meant when a dog will pick up and follow an older rabbit track, not a fresh "hot" track.

Re: Question
A dog that is fun to tolerate just to make your hot rod dogs look bad when the the scenting conditions are poor.
Re: Question
A cold nosed dog is one that permits you to rabbit hunt in almost all conditions. As opposed to a hot nosed dog where the term, lets get another rabbit that one must have gone in a hole is often heard.
A mouthy dog can have a good nose or a weak nose but he is still mouthy.
A tight mouth dog can also have good, or a weak nose.
