Keeping Them Alive
I am suppost to be haveing a litter of pups at the end of January or the begining of Febuary i was wandering what the best way to keep the puppys warm and alive in the cold winter months. Thank You
Re: Keeping Them Alive
HEAT LAMP ON THERMOSTAT ABOUT 86 DEGREES. THATS WHAT MY VET TOLD ME . I HAD A LITTER LAST FEB. SEEMED TO WORK WELL.IF NO THERMOSTAT 200 WATT LAMP WILL HEAT A MEDIUM SIZE DOG HOUSE WITH A COVERING ON DOOR.AT LEAST IT DOSE MINE.GOOD LUCK WITH THEM.
Re: Keeping Them Alive
The last "winter litter" of pups I had I brought my female inside the garage. Built a 4 panel portable kennel with a raised plywood floor, put the heat lamp to them and they did great. Keep them warm, dry and out of the wind, they'll do great.
