Eukanuba & Iams foods are in support of antihunters

Post by sgc »

This is per the Washington Times 1/14/04. Iams Co. makes both Eukanuba and Iams food brands. It is time to boycott these brands. You can read the article by using "Google" search.

Come on people, go to http://www.iams.com click on USA then click on e-mail us and let them know that they will never see one thin dime of your money. That is the only way to get through to these companies. It takes all of 2 minutes. GO------ what are you waiting on?????????

The internet is a wonderful information tool if we all use it to keep our love of hunting an ongoing fight. Spread the word on these foods, I know I will, thanks for letting us know. Hare

To Whom It May Concern;

Before the hunting dog world makes a big mistake, I would like to validate something with Iams. Does Iams in anyway support any antihunting groups / organizations or PETA?

The reason I ask is that there was a good conversation on a practicular hunting dog forum about how well pups develop using Iams dog food. As time went on, the tables turned into a bashing secession that Iams supports anti's and PETA. There was no reference to any article so I personally descredited the post, and in fact I will caution my fellow hunters by posting this very comment on that forum.

If you would be kind enough to reply to this inquiry with your stance on this issue, I will post your article on every forum that I visit which relates to the hunting dog. I'm sure most all that read your response will do the same as this issue is very near and dear to the heart of all hunting dog owners. Your response should spread like wild fire as most of these sites have a huge amount of links to other hunting, kennel and various dog sites.

I'm sure Iams is very proud of what groups receive their sponsor ship money, and I hope to clarify the assumption so that Iams gets the proper customer support with what ever group it chooses. We all know your dog food

To understand your level of support, a response would be appreciated by February 16, 2004. If Iams would like to post the respone itrself on http://americanbeagler.huntingboards.com/index.php or choose to provide a link to your statement, I'm sure the hunting dog world would appreciate that.

With that said, I consider a lack of response from Iams by February 16 a proud supporter of the antihunting groups / organizations and PETA . By choosing not to jeopardize lost sell dollars by advertising their support of such organizations on a hunting dog web site.

The hunting dog world is eagerly waiting for Iam's response so that we can provide the hig level of support that Iams would expect from the hunting dog world.

Sincerely,

Steve Mikkelson

I sent an e-mail with a question at the end that requires a response. I wonder if I will get a return e-mail, I am not holding my breath.

I have just sent the below e-mail to Iams. I am behind the dog hunter
100% no matter what game he pursues.

I have just heard that Iams supports antihunting and peta and I also know you have been sent an e-mail giving you the chance to respond on
The American Beagler hunting board.I use Iams and Know alot of hunters that do.I Will give you a resonable time to respond before I change brands and advise my friends to do the same. I know it would be easy to deny but as a hunter I would like to see a response that I could really know was true, like in your advertisements. This is a very serious
matter to all dog hunters and if we are going to support you by buying your product we demand a positive response.
