I was wondering if people feed table scraps to there hunting dogs. I have been collegically trained to not feed table scraps to dogs, but i cannot see the problem. I was just wondering what people out here in this great forum think? I would greatly appriciate the thoughts.
thanks in advance jamey

Re: feeding scraps
I'll feed scraps to my dogs in the kennel, but I don't feed it to my house dogs because I don't like a dog that begs or slobers all over as we eat

Re: feeding scraps
My dogs get meat scraps most nights.
No sense throwing it away.
Also, my dogs don't beg.
Many times before out daughter was born I would come home to an empty kennel.
All 3 beagles would be laying around the kitchen watching my wife cook.
They knew better than to beg. If they did, they got their nose smacked.
As soon as you set your fork down, or slid from the table they came to life.
