Re: huntin boots
Muck has a snake boot. It is called the Woody Armor. I have a pair. I also have a pair of Woody Max by Muck. They are very warm and are good boots. I also have a pair of Lacrosse Alpha Lite 5.0. These are the lightest boots I have found so far. All three are waterproof and very good boots.

Re: huntin boots
I sell Muck boots here in Va. The "Woody Armor" will take a snake bite. Norcross (Muck's parent company) decided when they came out with these boots no to list them as "snake proof" because of liability issues. They have, however, tested these boots with copperheads, eastern diamonbacks, and coral snakes and the have never had a snake come close to penetrating them. They have also tested them with a nail gun with the same force that a snake bites with and zero penetration. I love mine. I do, however, recommend you maybe get the Artic Sport for really cold weather as they are for the coldest temperatures. I am a fat guy and my feet have sweated in the Muck boots when the temp gets above about 60 and the sun shines on them. I would recommend them to anyone on a personal level. Best, hands down.

Re: huntin boots
Thanks for all the replys and info. Some good stuff here. I think I will have to go and try on a pair of Muck boots before I buy, just to see if I may like them. It will be hard to tell without wearing in the field but I like the no sweat thing. That was my only complaint about the Lacross's. It seemed that no matter what the temp was my feet were sweating in those things. Thanks again.

Re: huntin boots
All Muck Boots are temperature rated. So if the profile of the boot your interested in doesn't have a temperature rating listed. The snake boot is Comfort range of -20° F to 70° F
A snake cannot bite through these boots "unless they were previously damaged prior to getting bite by the snake".

Another vote for Muck boots, I gave my son my Lacrosse after wearing twice because I had so much trouble removing them.
