Hey guys, wherever Chris goes, Stupidity follows. Chris why would you say he runs a puppy mill. Is raising three litters a year considered a puppy mill? If so I am guilty as well. At least Trent isn't a dog trader such as yourself.

hey tony - why dont you go get your daughter and have her help you out with some of the posts. i think all this talking is a bit much for you to handle. if you just want to argue, start your own post or have a pair and call someone. otherwise why not just post an answer, not slam anyone, and go your own way. geez, you even got to make fun of a guys home state football team. you my friend, are a beauty ;) . most guys who dont have much of a life like to downgrade everyone else and their opinions. seems like you fit that description. if you got a response, email me, save room on the board for important things, not you making fun of people.

I have been to Trents house, seen his kennels and his dogs and he's not running a puppy mill. Whats the deal!!!! If a guy is satisfied with his dogs, they are good rabbit dogs and wants to raise pups out of them so he can have a couple of pups by them what is he supposed to do with the rest? There are always people out there looking for good bred pups that will run a rabbits ass off. I mean come on nobody is just giving pups away. Bottom line is if you are raising pups out of dogs that are not hunted or will not run a rabbit and you never fool with them other than when you feed them and check to see if they are in heat THATS A PUPPY MILL. By the way from my experience with Trents word. You are getting what he tells you you're getting.

I don't know this guy that ya'll are talking about and don't know very many of you except for on the boards.

It just so happens that I went yesterday to Albany, Ky to get my hounds from Kevin Groce's starting pen. I can honestly say he took a couple of raw, six month old pups and has definitly gotten them started for me.

Thanks for the recommendation to him goes to Murl-Beagler and another guy who's name escapes me now. Thanks guys, he was all you said he was and more.

Now the rest is up to me.

Kevin and I talked a little about this debate going on here on this board and I asked him what kind of complaints if any, does he ever get.
Kevin is not one to bash a man or his dogs and doesn't even come to these boards, but he said "What complaints dont you get"? Everyone has their own ideas about this, that, or whatever. You just can't please everyone, it's not possible.

Go to someone that pleases you and that will be good. If you have a bad experience then just don't go back. Their pen will still probably work for the majority of dogs.

Peace to all.

Now can we get back to running our dogs? Please.

Tony ,I think you have to make money to be called a dog trader. If that is the case I am not a dog trader ,but we have bought quite a few dogs to upgrade our kennel. As far as the puppy mill goes, breeding dogs at thier first heat cycle because of thier bloodline is not doing the breed or your kennel any good .Tony ,I have never had any problems with you in the past and considered you a friend . I hope you don't get burned too bad with TRENT.I am sorry I took up space on this thread to voice my opinion ,by all means make your own.

anyone who would breed a dog on the first heat cycle might not be called a puppy mill, but they sure dont have any business owning a dog. im not sure who that comment was for and dont care, my statement was meant for anyone. if it upsets someone, then i guess they are guilty.

If a dog starts at 6 months, and I mean out in the wild and being shot over, and doesn't come in for the first time until it is 15 months old I don't see anything wrong with breeding it. The dog has proven itself with 50 or more rabbits shot over it, I don't understand what the big deal is about breeding it on the first cycle.
I could see if the dog had not been ran and was only 9 months to a year old but at 15 months and having proven itself I definitly don't see a problem with it.

P.S. Maybe you should ask Swing how many pups out of the litters he has raised has started already. I was very impressed when I found out. I will definitly have my name on the list for any future litters he may have.

Yes he does J. Murphy. I love the way it's set up.
He has about an 1/8 of an acre enclosure to get the dogs started on rabbits. Then he has a five acre enclosure to get them running the rabbits.
Then he has an outstanding 30 acre enclosure that really simulates the wild quite well.

I will be taking more pups to him in the future. Thanks for recommending him. :D
