I had two get together once and I thought I ended it all before anything could happen. I kept an eye on her and sure didn't think she looked pregnant at all. I did notice she maybe looked a little heavy one day...... 5 days later she had three puppies.

I recently had a litter of coon dog pups- bitch's first litter... she didn't show much at all until the last week. I'd say she will have puppies, but not many. Keep us informed

Had a false pregnancy once, too. The girl, swelled up, nested, did the whole bit. But she was as empty as a politician's promise.

Well, she started producing a small amount of milk one day last week (I think it was on Thursday). Now if I let her out, she starts nesting under some 55 gallon drums that I have on the ground. Today she got up under the drums and wouldn't come out. This is really strange, because she is very obedient. I had to go get her. Last night she was in the whelping box and it sounding like she was in their scratching.

I have to go out of town on Wednesday morning. Hopefully, I'll know something before leaving. This would be the 9th week according to my calculations.

They like a secure boxed in place that's familiar to them to whelp in. Hopefully she is OK with the whelping box, otherwise she will wait to have them elsewhere, Under drums? possibly

Thanks for the info Nor' Easter,

I've been thanking about putting her back in her old pen, and moving the other dogs. I didn't know If I should do that because I just put down Seven Dust where the other dogs are. Would that harm the pups? Any advice from anybody (with experience that is) is welcomed. I will check this post tonight and early in the morning. I leave to go out of town tomorrow morning. I am already not wanting to leave, tonight she didn't eat all of her food. So I am thinking something must be going on. She didn't nest up under anything today. She just kept running around like a nut. She has also been spending more time in the box.

Nope,

I got back today about 3:30 and she was just like I left her. I don't know what's going on with this dog. She still hasn't gained a whole lot of wait, and her belly is not showing. Her tits are hanging down about an inch and a half. Other than her tits, you would never think she was bred.

All I can guess is that she didn't take on the day that I saw them tied. Perhaps she took later. After I saw them tied, I didn't bother to seperate them. Or, that she is having a false breeding.

I'll keep you posted.
