Re: pedigree on spicers blue back
I also am getting ready to breed a nice female to something out of blueback if i can find one not to old to cut the mustard.I wanted awhile back to breed to missile but his owner said he just never threw anything that wasnt more than just a good rabbit dog.so any suggestions are welcome.im thinkin right now if Jason dont mind it will be his dog.or if i could talk boguses owner in to one last hooraa that would be good too.I have enough females to go around.

Missle has not been bred to many top bitches, I have some not for sale, so whoever told you he doesnt produce dont know. He has been bred to some good turbo bitches we will see in about 8 months. He can still breed 10 yrs old.

I'd be interested in hearing from those who have watched Blue Back run. I have seen his offspring go and have been impressed. Just curious what his stronger points were and things like hunt, foot, check work, line control, nose power, competiveness, mouth, etc.
Does anyone have the number to Spicer and is he still in beagling?
LaMarr, Dutch is in Ohio. Go watch him run.

PRB,
I work with Scottie Spicer and live just down the road from his dad. Scottie doesnt have any dogs at his house, I dont think hes ran dogs in about 2 years. I can pm you his contact info if you want it.

Joe was the grandfather to Davis on the dam's side. (AJ's Hunting Heidi).wvduece wrote: wasnt your davis dog out of a odells turnback joe female i belive ya told me that once from the pics ive seen of your davis dog he was muscled up pretty good too jb
Davis was a carbon copy of Joe. You could stand them side by side and they were the exact same height, length, build, nose, head, long ears, rust color head, and the same bawl mouth. Davis had more ticking than Joe, but they both shared an open mark on the saddle blanket right above thier hip. Joe puts a lot of traits in his offspring.
The physically look like him with the trademark rust color head, red ticks on the muzzle, long straight ears, and laid back personality. Typically they have a big nose, fast, and can run all week. If you get them on big running rabbits, or hare, they are hard to beat. On a cutting and diving type rabbit where they really can't get stretched out, they aren't strong.
The one fault I have seen is that they typically don't have a ton of hunt.
