Pride dogfood?

Post by BriarCreekBeagles »

who feeds Pride dog food? what are your likes or dislikes and which do you feed (26/18, 24/20, Pro series etc.).
also if there are any beaglers in the tri-county area of pike county IN who do feed Pride or would like to start I am able to get a bulk rate price if I buy a ton at a time, it does not have to be a ton of one particular feed the guy told me as long as it was 40 bags of Pride. I would like to get 4 or 5 guys together and get a ton every so often. The dealer also told me that if I picked it up he would take another .50 cents off per bag so I would be glad to pick it up and save a few guys some money as well as myself. the guy is only 5 miles from me so it would be worth it.

I feed 21/17 except for when running hounds in the coldest part of the year, when I feed the 24/20. I have been feeding bagged feed since 1971 and so far have found no negatives to say about Pride Pro series. I have gone through other feeds that were too high in sodium, left too much stool, left runny stool, hounds didn't maintain body fat, etc. but none of that with the Pride Pro. I highly recommend it, either the Pro 21/17 or 24/20, depending on the level of hound activity. I have been feeding it for 5 years.

Oh come on I know there's more than three people who feed this, at least i hope so other wise there's two good ole Ky boys and one Hoosier hillbilly that are spending a heck of lot of money to keep this company going and I don't think between the three of us we got that many hounds. Tell us what you think good or bad

I feed the 26/20 Chicken and Rice to the dogs I trial and run the hardest.

The others have been on 26/18, but ar stepping down from that as it gets warmer.

I like the 26/20 Chicken and rice as good as Black Gold 26/18, but it takes just a little more of the pride than the Black gold to do, but not much.

I did the same thing Rneil did until the prices went up. Now i'm on the white bag (Maintenance) and my dogs seem to like it better  Big differnce in Price. It's only $13 50 lb bag :D
