Sad day in Virginia

Post by Simmons »

A couple of days ago. I hooked up with a few guys to do some running. The day started off great! Alil frost on the ground and the chance to chase bunnies all day. Its hard to believe that a day as pretty as this could go so wrong. The morning started with 2 chases and 2 dead.. By the middle of the afternoon things turned worse... I had to leave to take care of a few things "which in my case i got lucky". We had a dog run a rabbit across the road and lose a battle with a car. If that wasnt bad enough another one crossed onto the neighbors land where the neighbor ended another dogs life with a .223!!!!! THAT!!! :censored: :angryfire: :censored: :angryfire: :censored: :censored: :angryfire:!! When approached about the dog, the neighbor welcomed the guys with an open door and loaded gun!! After a few exchanges of words the police was called the the dog killer was lead off in cuffs!! Havent heard what all is goin to happen with this guy but i hope he gets the max penalty!!! People like this guy should be beat beyond all recognition!! Hopefully no one else has to deal with a day such as this..
That Dog will Hunt!!!

Makes me sick when I see things like that and this

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080208/ap_ ... i_shooting

and you can't blame the friends of the victims if they say NO MORE GUNS. But that isn't the answer in my mind, anyway. If I thought it would work I would be for it and turn mine in.... today.

I'm sorry to hear this and glad the shooter was arrested.
I would encourage you to sue the shooter in small claims court.
All I can say is that hunting dogs are whole lot cheaper to buy while they are alive.

Take him to the cleaners. You won't get the dog back, but you can hurt him in the wallet.
You also need to keep track of what happens legally to the shooter. Don't let him weasel out of the charges.
