Lovely. You don't want to know how badly the Pro Plan Selects in the white bag is strangling my wallet. A great food but won't be able to feed it if they raise it anymore. Ridiculous. Everything I've been feeding has gone up drastically ... one increased $10 per bag and the new formula gave them bloody diarrhea to boot. :angryfire:

I picked up a bag of pro plan and my dealer said that they were also going to start selling pro plan in 50 lb bags. They better start paying out more on the points to make it worth my while!

Now that they are having to pay $5 a bushel for corn and over $12 for soybeans everything that contains these grains is gonna rocket sky high in price.

Got a buddy who bought one of those corn burners, fought the last 4 years to keep it going, now it's a $3000. conversation piece...

Boy, between the high cost of everything and no inflation, it's gona kill us... :???: ... hold on, it's just gett'n started... :(

None of the hounds have died of bluetongue yet and there are no dead animals laying along the road either. Lots a dogs found tore up or missing, I think the coyotes are getting hungry, we hear them yaping most every night and it riles the hounds up and get them to going, but better them than a bunch of wolves... :hammer:

The guy with the corn burner should by feed corn in large quantities and he could feed the dogs and the stove-- seeing how Purina is basically just that!! Kurt Robinson

Hi Kirk,
My bud with the corn stove doesn't have hounds. He buys from another co-worker who farm a few 1000 acres, gets it at market price.
First the feeder motor kept going out, then the little pan that kicks out the burn't ash went out, had to replace the stove pipe after only 4 years at $80 a section. He's done with it and looking at lp heaters.
I don't know about the Purnia, only used the puppy chow.
Hope your seasons going well...

I have had a corn stove for 4 years and LOVE it. Maybe your buddy didnt do his research and bought a bad brand of stove. I bought my corn for 3 a bushell right out of the combine (Market Price). I have saved close to $6000 burning corn. Sorry about your buddies bad luck.

Hi Mat,
Don't know the name brand of stove offhand but my bud is not one for jumping into anything uninformed. I know he started with the first generation stove and they've changed out parts to include the next 3 generation to date.
Glad yours has been a keeper, my bud had counted up how much money he was gona save also. He's originally from NY but got run out by the high taxes. He's fun to listen to when he talks(they got them a funny accent up thar), at first that stove was gona be "a bee-u-t-ful" thing, now it's just, "that stinkin' corn stove crapped on me again"...
If you've got a good make and model maybe I could pass on the info to him... ;)
Best wishes.

I worked building an ethonal plant in Indiana that is now almost finished. They are about to buy their first bit of corn but they will have to buy it else where, Iowa, because of the drought last summer in Indiana. Not only will they have to pay the high price of corn but to transport it to them. They are also going to build 3 more plants in central Indiana in the near future and that is only one company. There are a few others as well. That will not only effect the price some more but could convert more CRP land back to corn fields. I don't like it one bit!!!
I'VE GOT SOME DOGS THAT ARE GONNA HURT SOME FEELINGS!!!!! I just hope it's not mine. Home of Wild Hare Kennels and FC Creek Woods Blue.
