Built a dog box

Post by huntin' bootsy »

I spent a few hours to make this box because I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on buying one. It is 3' X 2' X 18". I made it out of 3/8 plywood to keep it light.

For the divider in the center I stood the plywood on edge and put angled metal against both sides.
The doors are 10" x 12". I left the top off until last so I could grind off the screws from the latches ect.. on the inside and put a little silicone over them to keep the dogs from cutting themselves. I had $60 in materials into this. All i have left is a couple handles and some straw for the inside.

I would caulk the seams to help delay the water entrance into the plywood and delamination.

Looks good.

Most hardware stores carry the latches, Lowes or Home depot should have them. Or a TSC
