Killed 10 today down in your part of the country Patch, I was suprised that the dogs ran so well with the wind blowing as hard as it was and the snow coming down sideways. Rabbits go up easy and the running was awesome. It will probably take me another day or two to thaw out.
Once upon a time, a man asked a girl " Will you marry me?" The girl said " NO." and the guy lived happily ever after and ran his dogs as much as he wanted to.
When I departed the frozen tundra of northern Wis yesterday morning, I mentioned to my wife that I couldn't wait to get south to warmer temps (above freezing) so I could put water in the back for the dogs and it wouldn't freeze up. Well, it never made it above the teens. So on one stop, I put warm water in the dish along with their food and gave the dogs a "hot meal".
Man, I am sad that I didn't get to go hunting hare while north. I was looking forward to that more so then the commercial aspect of Christmas with the family.
Oh well, now that I am back, it will be off to the running grounds back home. Good luck with your running/hunting.
