A general forum for the discussion of hunting with beagles, guns, clothing and other equipment and just talking dawgs! (Tall tales on hunting allowed, but remember, first liar doesn't stand a chance)
Here are some pics of my new pups, first I've bred and thought I would share. 5 living, one died shortly after birth but the rest seem like there going to be ok.
These are T Rex and Northway bred and I hope they make some good ones.

Yeah its hard to believe there are a few that look good. I am hopeful they do get that scrubby mouth on them. Hopefully one of them will make a foundation for me one day. Guess time will tell.
Cute puppies! Congrats.
Is that a #200 crate bottom they are in? Looks kinda tight in the pix....I'd be worried about her smooshing one if it is real tight and no pig rails. I like to have the bitch able to stretch out so her mammaries are easier for all the pups to stay on more often
Also, can you trim Momma's nails for me?
Best of Luck!!!!

Cindy Is right It's best to act now before you lose one . I learned that the hard way . Even the best mommy will squish one in a enclosed space , without enough room to stretch and move . I now have a 3 X 3 whelper with hog rails on the back and sides .
Thanks Jude!!!
Even my wonder mother Honey (above) can snore through a screaming baby if she's really exhausted...I swear that's the main reason why so many folks find dead ones in the box "the next mornin."
That last litter I had one tiny male...Honey laid on him a couple times and I was always right there..well once she laid on him real good when he was TWO WEEKS old , my son yelled to me "Mom one of the pups is crying"...well I thought we were past the smooshing stage so I said "Okay...yeah, yeah, I'll check" and I didn't for about 30 more minutes. When I finally went into the room all I could hear was a pitiful little mew...Honey was still laying on him and sleeping like a LOG!!!!
I barely saved him and he was in seriously bad shape ...I felt so guilty and lazy and STUPID. I was SO mad at myself. I know I gave him some kyro syrup and rubbed and loved (apologised) to him a lot and then put him on the best teat and babysat him all night (back on the floor next to the box in my sleeping bag again! OUCH)...he is now a much loved...oh so loved pet dawg on Long Island!
