I hope to be running a few Eastern yellow footed rabbits soon ! Our scouts have reported a good population in some of the areas we hunt. One more day of deer season here.

Any sulfur springs or yellow clay near the area that you were hunting? My grandfather's land has a coal seam really close the the surface that has a sulfur content so high the coal cannot be mined. There are a couple of natural springs on the property that come off the coal seam and the sulfur leaches into the water. Everything that water touches for long has a yellowish tint. All the animals that waded in or near the springs had yellow feet.

Just thinking

i've noticed it on the rabbits i killed also. i believe it is pee stain from rutting from all the mild weather and along with extreme drought we have had this fall.
