Do you all do hunt leases for deer hunting? It is getting real bad around here. Lost two prime rabbit hunting spots to deer hunters from the big city this year.

I hunt right behind my house on my property. I usual shoot my limit and this year will be shooting some does for some guys at work who want the meat. I still have meat left over from last year but have been making quite a bit of chile lately. Sure is good eating.

I love to hate deer. they have ruined our rabbit hunting in NEA. Every patch ot thicket that someone has seen a deer in is posted. 20 years ago we had very few deer and you could rabbit hunt anywhere. Be care what u say on here ol' swamper will call the warden! KILL'EM ALL!

I mostly meat hunt but manage to kill a nice buck every once in a while here is one i shoot last weekend during our muzzel loader hunt. our rabbit season opens in the morning so I am pretty much done with the deer for this year.

Well, I've went deer hunting every year for the last five years, except last year, and I've not had any luck....The first time I went I actually shot a really nice buck, after it fell I laid my gun down and I was so excited. Then it jumped back up and took off. We followed the blood trail forever and just couldn't find it. .

But, I would have to say, when I get one it will be for the meat.

I like to get a nice doe for jerky & let those little young bucks grow up to be hopefully monsters for future hunts, way to many does.Now that my 13 year old hunts with me It's mainly about him getting his first deer doe or buck no matter the size just the memories and excitement of his first deer.

I found out that the one I have been scouting and chasing all bow season was shot @ 11:30 pm on friday night .. .. Stopping my reason for getting out of bed @4:30 this morning ..I hope everyone had a better opening weekend than me .

i shot a doe and button buck sat. morn. and a three pointer sat eve. so i guess u can say i hunt for meat. i dont shoot nothing that i wont eat. dont beleive in wastin game. im done till dec. i go to fort knox on a quota hunt.
