There is no bag limit on hare in Wis and there is no off season.
Holy Cow, what the hell are the hare doing, getting into the garbage and breaking into houses.
I do know that people go to Drummond Island all the time and it gets hunted hard. It still has hare, otherwise people wouldn't keep going back
But there's a season and bag limits... Just think of the uproar if the DNR said there is no bag limit or season for Deer, Turkey etc... Take as many as you want and when you want.

Mr. Barg,

I must compliment you on your article written in a popular magazine this past spring. You are an extremely gifted writer. You described your brother's young female hound like a reverend poet. You and your brother sure were proud of this young hound and the way she performed that winter day. BTW, did your brother get this dog from the mighty GB Kennels? How much did he pay for it?

Do NOT bash or threaten me... I do not throw mud

When there is only three guys per province (excluding the east coast guys) taking hares its no problem if everyone wants to shoot 300 of them, and we know Farwest isn't one of those cause apparently Dan left the province with his gun and hasnt been heard from since....lolol......
It's not that life is short......it's just that we're dead for such a long, long time...

The way I see it is if anyone has reason to believe that rabbit hunters will shoot out all the rabbits. Take it up with DNR. Have them set seasons and limits like the rest of america. Mo limit is 6 per person and is open from Oct 1st and ends Feb 15th. Also our DNR does a good job at managing the Conservation land for specific game. The place where I hunted this past weekend had a bunch of brush piles. Someone came in and cut down a bunch of small trees. If they do all that then.....

Ha HA HA, very funny you guys.
James , next time you are off , load up those hounds that you went splits with Coyote hunter Dan on. Oh that's right , you sent him all that money and haven't seen a hound out of it ;)
The two of us are stupid for trusting our "friend"
Don't worry Norwester, I still have lots of fire power if needed, but with hounds like mine, who needs a gun    :P
I do wish I had the $500 though
