Here's a link to some pics that were taken this year on our U.P. of MI hare hunting trip. We sure had a great time!

Whoever was riding on the bumper when you pulled the Chevy out was living dangerously. Had that pull strap broken, it very well could have taken his legs completely off. You can't imagine the power of those things. He was doing something no sailor in the world would have done, as we have all seen the videos of what happens when a line parts.

Those straps are designed to stretch and then assist in pulling out the vehicle as they try to retract back to their original length. They don't break often, but when they do, they cause some serious damage. If you are in the way, it will go through you.

Other than that, nice pictures!

very nice, where abouts were you when the wolf come in on you? I would not have let that dodge pull me out, looks like he tried everything to avoid that also, seeing how deep he got. Should have un hooked the trailer then yanked the trailer out before that dodge backed up to me.
Naw , Out is out, on to running.

Hare

Post by clousewt »

Hey Howard, how did those black and tans run them hare? I have been hoping to get to go to Maine this season, my wifes grandad has a cabin up there I can stay for free, he lives 5 miles from the Canadian border. He is a big deer hunter, he says they have some small rabbits running everywhere in the swampy areas. I cant wait to put together a hunting trip. If I could get 2 or 3 guys to go, we could split the gas money and groceries. the cabin is free.

Take a pill Joe! :bash:

May I please come back to Wis to my hometown this winter and run/take some hare? Please???????

Oh, and btw, you are welcome to come down here for a weekend or week. I will take you to a place that I know gets over 100 rabbits harvested per year by one person and it is still overflowing with bunnies. We can limit out for as long as you want. You can post pictures all over the net and say how much fun you had. Just as long as you didn't give away the location other than it being in MO.

I am serious, we will have a good time. I guarentee it.
