We had an excellent time on Drummond again this year. The hare population is still good and there were plenty to run but they were hard to kill this early in the season. We were there the 1st week of Oct. and it was unseasonably warm (70's) and very dry, the runs were excellent in the mornings and a little rougher in the afternoons, but it was alot of fun as usual. At one point our dogs and Charles' dogs (srpatch) got together on a run and it was a lovely sound to hear 12 patch hounds pounding a hare!! My brother-in-law shot that one and the dogs were about 5 seconds behind it!

I got some good video that I'll try to post at some point.
Our dogs (on the left) and Charles' (SRpatch) and Bud Glyshaw's dogs on the right) Charles is on the right with his son-the dogs are wore out after an awesome run
Pete with hare he shot over a dozen patch hounds
Justin with Dozer, Echo and Daisy
I don't know how I got a picture of this hare, LOL
The dogs in full pursuit of the above hare
Our little dog handlers-they joined us for a few short hunts
Our Gunner dog didn't make the trip this year for the 1st time, he hadn't fully recovered from the 10 days he was missing. But, he was still there through his pups. He sired all of the dogs in this picture (Lake Huron in the background)
