crazy deer at work

Post by catfish hunter »

I was at work tonight and heard all these kids screaming so I walked out side and saw a deer going crazy like I never saw before it was jumping like a bull and smashing into our field fence like it was insane ,I quikly ran out to see what was happening and noticed the deer was spitting blood all over the place and was bleeding from the nose .It made about a 10 minute death run in circles and dropped dead ,it was the saddest thing ever to watch ,at this point it was 430 pm and I called fish and game and told them that I thought it was EHD and they said they would call me back so I waited thinking they would want to see this deer but to my surprise they called back and said it was the end of the day and they were going home ,I told them that this happened on a high school football field and there were kids around and this couldnt wait till the next day I had crazed parents wanting ansers ,they told me to drag the deer to a safe location and have the town pick it up and if they had time tommorow they would send someone to look at it {what a joke }. well I called animal control and they to said they were going home so I had to lie to them and say the deer was alive still so they would come ,to my surprize they brought the cops w/ them to shoot the deer but as they arived I was dragging her to the road so they didnt drive over our sprinkelers on the field ,the cop said to stand back and not touch the body but I was 200 yards into the drag at this point and just laughed about it ,after all this I had to laugh at animal control this kid tried to wrap it up in a blanket and wouldnt touch it so I had to help him load the body in the van .I am gonna call in the morning and see if I can get someone to look at the deer

If I had to guess, I would say that she was hit by a car and had broken ribs and a punctured lung. It took 10 minutes for her to drown in her own blood or to bleed to death internally.

WE HAD A PIECE IN THE PAPER THIS WEEK THAT SAID WE COULD LOSE 70% OF OUR DEER HERD IN SOUTHERN INDIANA. I THINK I'LL PASS ON DEER HUNTING THIS YEAR ALSO.

EHD has been found in several counties in Indiana, but the disease cannot be transmitted to humans says the Indiana Department Of Natural Resources.

Along with many other friends, I am very suspicious of the possibility that the Arabic Community from the Middle East might be behind a lot of these newfound diseases in our country.

What is the disease name for EHD? I would like to look it up under the CDC. Also I am wondering has CDC been contacted on this? This is a serious issue if it gets into the food sources we are in big trouble.
