With all this talk lately about stud dogs and kennel blindness and such. I got to thinking, and I came up with this.
What do you think is feasable to change in one generation? In other words, what faults do you think are possible to correct in one breeding?
What do you think takes more than one breeding?

faults
not trying to be smart.but I wouldn't breed a dog that had faults i couldn't live with or a stud that had faults that i couldn't live with.there is no perfect dog but breed a good bitch to a good stud prefer along same blood lines and should get as good as you have and might even get a great one. I would say trying to take out small faults can be done in a breeding but don't expect miracles.j.m.o. Ken
Maybe I should have been more specific.
I didn't mean to imply that you should breed faulty dogs.
When you make a breeding, you have something in mind, right? You pick dogs that compliment each other, or are the best of their respective lines. But, no dogs are perfect, so you try to make the next generation better, right? So, if the dogs you are breeding are lacking in any one area, what can you make up for in one generation?
