Swamper will be incognito a few days, as Auburn stuck it to the Vols, and the UT termites will go back in the woodwork. They run around with shakers in the back windows and flags on the cars, but when they loose, you don't see one for a couple of weeks. You know what I like about Swamper? NOTHING! LOL At least he's true Southern. We do adopt down here ocasionally-like you, Snow and NYH. Like Shenandoah(spell) said, we still smell the powder burning and probably always will.

Well put Ted but don't forget, we are 4-1. Auburn is a sad 3-2 and Alabama is 2-4. What happened to the Tide. 10-3 last year and may have the safety starting at QB in a week or two. That my friend, is sad.

There has never been anything civil about ANY war! The south was NOT an innocent victim of anything.

I think this going the wrong way. He never said the south was and you are right, except for the reconstruction period, we wasn't.

He is right, there was nothing civil about that war or any other war before or since.

The north invaded the United States and won. LOL!!!!!

Nice to know I have a place to go if I need to get adopted. LOL! It may come to pass someday. I'm with Pete on the country / city thing though. I just got in from working on the kennel, something I have been doing for a week now. I wish I knew how to put pictures on the computer to show this life I'm living. Some would say "LIVING" LOL but no doubt they would be city folk. How did I ever become such a hick? Hounds, hunting, hounds, fishing, hounds, NASCAR, hounds, chainsaws, tractors, mud, snow, hounds and happy!!!! Christmas gifts for me wool socks, shotgun shells, collars, a new shock collar, leads, dog food.......see what I mean. Love the wife and my now grown kids and being a dad. Love eggs, bacon, toast coffee, sausage gravy and biscuits, venison sausage for breakfast and sometimes all at the same time! LOL!!! Sorry can't do grits...I know...my bad! I weigh as much as the biggest bear I ever shot and have a higher cholesterol level number than IQ number. I pray every night and sometimes even during the day......and sometimes even out loud. Don't care anything about THE BIG APPLE but I do love fresh picked apples off the trees out back. I will give someone in need the shirt off my back but there ain't no one out there that I'll let take it off me. Yeah I agree with Pete on the country/ city thing being more of an issue than the north south thing. When did I become such a hick? It's in the blood!

AlabamaSwamper,
If that is what you heard you better get your hearing checked! I have to laugh when I have gone to visit friends of mine in the south or what I consider south which is anything below Pennsylvania. I hear all this talk of being a good ole boy and find it ends with the drawl. Beagles stacked up in backyards only feet from neighbors! Now I have to give folks lots of credit to keep and run hounds when you live so close to other folks who may not share the same hound enthusiasm. The name NYHillbilly was given to me by Paul Webb when I sent him pictures of where I live. He thought I was pulling his leg! My town has 2,000 people and it is scattered out over a large area. My 200 acres joins up with state lands of thousands of acres and there is more state lands across the road of another 4,500 acres. Those that do not really know N.Y. would think they were in some other state. Not to mention the Adirondack Park is only 45 min north of me and there is some real woods, complete with moose. I need to drag some of you....oops...y'all up this way sometimes and show you some real country living.
Peace,
Yank................NYH

My most humble appoligies if I've offended any of the folks down south. It is indeed a beautiful part of OUR country, and the folks are friendly. I got a bad rap when I was in 2nd grade when my teacher wrote down - "does not play well with others...." Guess it's stuck with me since then.

Forget about who has the best and fastest cars, dogs, and who has the best football team. What the South is most famous for, but you seldom hear us brag about is our Southern Belles! It might be the mint julips, or the fact that they can still swoon at will, but they are the prettiest lil ol things in the world.

Hows that for a shot back Valpoguy? lol
