Bassett Hounds

Anybody hunt with them. I like slower dogs and I would think they would be slow. My dad had one years ago that he used for hunting. How are they to train for hunting?

if you interested i will have some half basset/beagle pups born the end of this month should make some awsome rabbit dogs.
