illuminated collars for night running

Post by DDWBeagles »

Was over on the LCS site (Lion Country Supply) and saw they had a collar that lit up or illuminated. Thought it would be kinda cool to use during those night runs. I work 2nd shift and usually don't get home till about midnight. This would be ideal and realy help (I think :eyes: ) keep track of the dogs. I have a tracking system so loosing them isn't the problem, but seeing them is. Have any of you tried one of these and if so, what did you think about them? Thanks in advance.
Dogs don't have to look good to win tittles, but conformation "enhances their chances"!

I have got the ones that has the reflective illumination on them for running at night cause some of the places I run are near highways and they have helped out alot. If the price is right that don't sound like a bad investment.

I have reflective collars that also glow in the dark that I use on my coonhounds. They reflect white in color at a distance and if I hold them in front of the headlight or my hunting light for a few minutes they will glow for a fairly long while. Its pretty wild to see a glowing green streak coming at you in the black of night if they dont hit a track and come back in. LOL Its also nice when they are on the roads instead of in the woods.
