Boys I think hes SandBaggin. I know Perkins has had them in the woods.
Dad and I just got back from 5 days of 12 hours a day, running hare on Drummond Island. The hottest it ever got was 82 and it sure was fun. In fact, we would run a while, dip them in Lake Huron, and run them some more.
But, now we are back home, and will get right back to running (as soon as the dogs get back to walking). When running the big rabbits, nothing matters more than heart.
Here's a good question--which is harder:
1. running a KY cottontail in 100 degrees;
2. running a hare full blast, out of hearing and back, for a couple of hours in the UP at 80 degrees.
I would guess they are about the same--both take a lot of heart and the best rabbit dogs come to the top.

sull--I'm not sure what this is, but I am pretty sure I heard somebody say Lynn Perkins did it one time at a hunt in Pike County.
Maybe Chad or John Smith, or somebody that know Lynn a little better than me can help straighten this out.

Hows it going Jim,hope all is well with you all.

Mostly they just ran until we screamed them down, and forced them in to the lake.
