Thanks Ed for the compliment. I have been lucky to own Dutch, he was going to be good despite me. He has been producing pretty well. The litter that your dog Blue came out of is doing extremely well. It is not often that every hound in a litter makes a fine rabbit dog. But study and good breeding does increase the odds. Belle is a finely bred Branko hound and we already know that Dutch is a good cross with that line. I am looking forward to the breeding also.

No problem Joe. I call it the way I see it and Dutch is a very nice hound. Rod was very impressed with him as well. I have watched other "so called field champions" run that I was not all that impressed with but when I witnessed with my own eyes that 40 minute run that went out of ear shot several times on the Sunday that Terry ran with us and I was truely impressed. Dutch was the driving force on those runs and I was happy with the way my Jack Tuffy dog ran with him. Jack has improved immensely in the last year since I learned (the hard way) how damaging shock collars are if use incorrectly. He was still a young hound at two years old (now three) and still learning but I think you will see an improvement in him this year.
Looking forward to this years hunt and this years breeding with Dutch and Belle.

I was giving Brad a razz for making the BIG statement first ;)

I think that it is cool that both of todays jump-dogs are named Rocky.

I like my Jake dog, just hunts hard & gets alot of tough checks. I call him search & destroy. He could probably run a little cleaner line, but he is my buddy & goes everywhere with me. You might say we have bonded. My wife thinks I treat him like a third child. He is the only one allowed in the house. He will be three in Dec, & I hope to have many more years hunting with him. Dont get me wrong, he is a great dog, & I will put him up against any one around where I live, but sometimes its more about a specific dog & how you feel about them for whatever reason. I am sure there are some better rabbit dogs out there but wouldnt trade him for anything. Mike

Buckeyebold RedBull, always the same everytime out.You never have to get him "run-up".Not a powerdog in any category but will jump and circle a rabbit if there is one to be found.Might be too rough, too close, too tight, not enough hunt, too much hunt, too fast, not fast enough for some but suits me to a "T".

Here is a pick of the best hound i've ever owned and will be fortunate to have another one like her.She is jump dog deluxe.I thought i had some jump dogs until she came along. She runs the line with speed and accuracy and never wants to quit.I had a gentleman tell me that she is so good at finding rabbits he believed she could jump one in the wal-mart parking lot.lol She is truely a site to watch and i look forward to many more trips in the field together!

Bob,
If Bull is anything like his littermate brother Spec i know for a fact that he would make any owner proud to own him. That cross produced some really nice hard hunting med speed dogs that may not be the flashiest around, but will make most dogs look bad any givien day. The sister i have (May) is pretty good as well, but she is missing the drive to run front dog and would rather run 2nd or 3rd (with a super fast pack) dog and wait for a mistake and then clean house in the check.

If i get a chance Spec is going to see a few trials this year. I just have to find the time to run hm up. I believe he has the potential to win a few trials.

The Turbo/Boldstroke cross is no joke guys. Danny has a litter out of Reggie coming and i can assure you that they will be the real deal.

Time will tell with your cross danny, but my turbo by turbo and stargate kate dog may not be the greatest dog in the world, but I have only seen one dog that I would trade him for. That dog's name is Hogdog from NW ohio. He has speed, line control and hunt.

I really like my Brandy female. She is hunting just as hard at the end of the day as when you first turn her loose, and seems to take more than her share of the jumps. Tight mouthed and can flat move on a rabbit track solo or with a pack and plus look pretty while doing it
I currently have a female out of her that may give her a run for her money after another gunseason though.

My best dog is now 10 years old; Dual Grand Jenny's Jumpin' JoJo oh Boy would I love to have a 6 month old clone of him right now. I felt he was my best because he made me happy eveytime I seen him run. He would do things that I would just stand there and shake my head at in amazment. Like one time in a trial there was about 6-8 inches of fresh snow and all the dogs where popping off including him, but they just couldn't find the rabbit and they weren't leaving the area. Then we all seen him crawling up a fallen tree that wasn't all the way down. He was plowing the snow off as he went up. Then as he got out toward the end (about 8 feet hight) the rabbit jumped off the end. He then tuned and came back down and it was on. Everyone said that was the craziest thing they ever saw. That was just one of many things that made me shake my head and smile. :D http://www.freewebs.com/cannonball08/theboys.htm
