VETS-THE GOOD AND THE BAD

Post by TRHINK »

ANY OF YOU EVER HAVE BAD EXPERIENCE WITH A VET?
I TOOK MY DOG BECAUSE OF A KNOT IN HER NECK. AFTER SEVERAL ROUNDS OF ANTIBOTICS AND LANCING, ECT. AND TWO MONTHS TIME, I TOOK HER TO ANOTHER VET. HE REMOVED A TWO (2) INCH PINE STICK ABOUT THE DIAMETER OF A PENCIL FROM HER NECK, PUT IN A DRAIN TUBE. EVERY THING IS HEALING UP WELL NOW, THANKS TO A GOOD VET. NEEDLESS TO SAY I HAVE A NEW VET. :)

SHE GOT THE STICK WHILE RUNNING.

I had the same thing happen with a thorn in one of my dogs legs. I told the vet I thought it might be a thorn but they cut it open and flushed it and said they didn't see anything. I was feeling around on it the next day and felt the thorn and took him back. They cut it back open and took it out in 2 pieces. They even charged me for the 2nd trip back( I wasn't happy about this) I had another dog get real sick and took him to the same vet. The vet did blood work and said he was sure it was Blasto. I came home and did research on Blasto and talked to a few people that have delt with it and it just didn't seem right to me. I told the vet I didn't think that was what he had but the vet still insisted that was it ( even after the Blasto tests came back negative) He told me he thought I should put the dog down. Even after my vet insisted it was Blasto I didn't think he was right so I went to another vet. Turns out it was Rockey Mtn Spotted Fever. Some of the signs are the same but my dog never had a cough like most of the people I talked to dogs did. I now drive past alot of doctors to go to the vet I use now. I also pay a little more for the new vet.

my buddy took a champion bred show bulldog to the vet to have a c-section done, all the pups made it but they also spaded her without permission.
needless to say he was not a happy camper.
i took a bullie to the same vet and put a 200 dollar deposit on her,she had parvo, told them that if they could not save her for 200,to go ahead and put her down, well they said she was fine saturday, said i could pick her up monday morning, they wanted to keep an eye on her over the weekend.
went in monday morning to pick her up and they said she took a turn for the worse and died,i asked to see the body and they said they creamated her, then they handed me a bill for 471 bucks.
i argued that they where not to go over the 200,and how could they creamate the dog without asking?

i'd say someone got them a free english bulldog pup,and i am still stuck with the bill.
