Nothing safer or better than Purina puppy chow. Purina has better quality control. They do not import ingredients to put in puppy chow. Much of the dog food problems involve ingredients being imported and that is where the risk comes from. Many of the less expensive feeds rely on imported ingredients. The expense is not that much greater for a quality and safe puppy food. I also like the pro plan performance for the dogs that are being run a lot, traveling etc. The dog stays healthier and has more stamina, ears and tail heal fast, coat is healthy and the dog keeps good weight. Black gold is also a decent food. Don't mind using it for the other dogs but have not had the question of where they get the product from answered. Do they import ingredients??

I am using "IAMS Puppy" Gold bag. This is the first time I have tried it and the mother looks great and the pups are fat and healthy.. I ground it with warm water and warm milk with Honey added to get them started on it and there is never a drop left. The pups looked great for the first 3 weeks while exclusively on their mother

Danny, lol......I would never lie about that....lol, in fact....we just got a BUNCH of beef livers and you know who will be eating them. My dogs eat all our table scraps. They love Beef Stew...Turkey breast.......Biscuits and Gravy with a side of bacon or ham, and their favorite is when the moon is full...and I go to the all you can eat steakhouse and swipe them out a couple of big ole steaks in a zip lock baggy.....Danny King wrote:Randy dont lie you give your dogs eggs and bacon. i will still remmember the time i woke up and smelt the dog food i thought shannon was making us breakfast.

You know Danny......I can remember 35 years ago when my great grand daddy ran foxhounds in Virginia, we would sit around a camp fire and listen to dogs and old guys telling stories....and I dont ever remember them fussing over what his buddies was feeding there dogs.......perhaps it was because they were all feeding table scraps and anything else that was cheap.
Danny....On another note......how you and your better half doing? Sorry I didnt return your call a few weeks ago.....I have been busier than a one legged man in a butt kickin contest!! Mushrooms up yet? Take care.

I don't know why but your comment is really interesting to me! I see a lot of bad dog food promoted on dog boards! Anyway I guess it's a personal choice what ya feed your dogs to me. Not a dog food Nazi person but I couldn't imagine giving me dogs crappy dog foods! My dogs eat Cali Natural, and do really well on it! 2 beagles cost me about 32$ a month to feed. Not too bad!klrconcrete wrote:Lots of Purina salesmen on here, thats fine if you are in to the all corn or grain diet I feed Eagle pack Holistic select along with raw beef and liver supplements I havent tried any Eagle puppy foods yet but suspect they will be as good as the adult formula I am feeding. Is Purina really that good or is it the fact that they always have some kind of financial incentive going on to promote sales? For the record, I think its financial
