Wanting to know if the uninsulated bibs are hot to wear this time of year? The stick tights are getting bad this time of year and was wanting to get a pair of bibs so I can spend more time running then all my time picking the dang things off my clothes. Thanks Tom Gross

I have booth Dans and Wicks.

I like the wicks bibs better.

As far as being cools enough no I don't think so.

The wick frog legs are what I use in the summer.

But the bibs I think are too hot to wear in the summer.

I wear the uninsulated bibs in the winter and sweat.

All summer I use the Wick chaps, have had the same pair for 15 years. I use the bibs for fall and winter only.

Finally got my new computer, couldn't use my wifes work computer very much. Does Dans have a web site? I know Wicks does and like their products but also sure liked the looks of one of Dans hunting coats.

I also really like and recommend WICKS products....

I also sweat on occasion in the WICKS bibs during the winter. They are one tough pair of bibs and super-warm, even uninsulated. I cant imaging wearing the insulated ones unless I was hunting artic bunnies in the northwest territories in January.

I have a real nice of BAMA chaps that my father in law gave me about 5 years ago and I don't leave home without them. Was just thinking the bibs would keep the stick tights off my shirt so I wouldn't have to waste time poicking them off. Thanks for the replys TOM GROSS

Mule brand clothing have briar proof shirts for sale. I think that would do better for keeping thorns off your upper body.

Never thougt about the shirts. Going to Autumn Oaks this weekend there will be plenty of dealers there so I will just have to take a look at the shirts along with the bibs. Thanks Guys

hey y'all,,, this is all new to me,,, and the briars have been tearing me and my clothes apart,, and i haven't been running that much due to the heat,,,
are the wick's bibs what i need for following the dogs in the briars and all??? i am looking at their website and am looking at about a hundred bucks for an extra large bib with extra padding on the front,,, would this be what i would use>>?????? thanx for your help here.

I agree with using the froglegs in the summer. Can wear shorts with them and not nearly as hot. Keep them folded down till time to get in the brush them pull them up and crash through. I use them beagling and cooning year round and also gigging in the summer and fall. Cant be beat IMO.

I would go with the chaps. I have had a pair for close to ten years and love them. I use the uninsulated bibs in the winter and stay plenty warm.
