Backgrounds/Pedigrees

Post by kent5252 »

Ever since I have gotten into this deal, I have noticed all of the different type of popular names within pedigrees. I wish there was some way to break down all these names in order to further explain the outstanding traits or accomplishments of any particular line of dogs. I mean I have heard folks reference different lines such as Branko, Indian Hills, Gay, Northway, etc. but my question is what sets these names apart from eachother?? Once i heard someone say "well that dog looks like it has some northway in it.." how does he know? i am just curious, because i am kinda new at this, and it is just a topic that has me confused...sorry if i am unclear, but i can't think of any other way to word this

Do a search on this board of the different bloodlines and you will find posts that describe the dogs and their breeding. It has been discussed many times.
