I was wondering if any of you guys have ever seen this. I got a male that's about two years old. He acts perfectly normal in the kennel. When I take him hunting he does a good job, acts healthy and minds well. But when I put him in the dog box, he starts to drool and slober uncontrollably. I figure he just gets nervous in the dog box, I don't know for sure though. I thought maybe one of you might know if there was a way to stop him from doing this. My poor little female gets soaked when traveling with him!!

danny, i think your right. sounds like your hound has suffered from motion sickness in the past or is anticipating motion sickness again. i have seen some hounds start drooling before the truck ever gets in motion. i think they are nervous about the trip they are about to take, but i don't know of a cure.

i got one
I have one that frets. When she gets stressed she drools bad. Noticed it when I started taking her out by herself or when I chain her up. Not a problem. Had me worried for a while.

drooling
I have a female that has done it since a pup and she still drools and she's three now.It has to be motion sickness but when I cut them loose to hunt she doesn't act sick. When she was young and in serious training I aways put a e-collar on her about fifteen minutes before I loaded them up and now if I put a collar on her in the yard and have been going out to my truck she starts slobbering even before I put them in the box. Take care..........FullCry
