I got one that is a top notch rabbit dog.
Just send me the money and your address and I'll ship her to you.

She's a little bit overweight in this picture, but she'll burn it off as soon as season starts.

Here is one my buddy has for sale.
He is a little hard to catch, right at 15" and he chases rabbits everyday.
He lacks good conformation but he chases to catch.

POPSHOT,

I am not going to take offence to your post, however I am going to reply to it for not all dogs in Kentucky run exactly the same. You very well may have baught some good dogs, they just don't run the format you want them to run.

You need to find out what type of format the kennel runs in befor you buy one from that kennel. Some run ARHA, UKC or AKC SPO and some even run brace.

With that many different formats along with the just plain gun dogs there is a vast difference in the type of dog you will get.

With that being said there is also a difference in formats even by location. With running our dogs in various areas, I have seen differences in the type of dog and running style if you may by the area as well even though they call them selves ARHA, UKC H&H or UKC PP or AKC SPO (Which by far has a lot of different ideas on how the dog should run a rabbit) So it just may be that you purchased a dog that does not fit your areas format or style. I can't imagine any kennel selling you a non running dog as a top notch dog for that is the death to any kennel word of mouth junk seller....

Have you contacted the kennel and told them this dog isn't working out? Have you contacted the kennel and asked them what is their hunting commands?
Have you contacted the kennel and asked what format they normally run in?
Have you really spent the time with the dog to find out that it is just an adjustment issue?

Not all dogs are going to work as well for a new owner till that dog gets to know you and like you and accept you as part of his pack...

I think that with your blanket statement you should maybe look to your self as to some of the problem...

I have some real good advice whether you are buying dogs from the town over or Russia.

Don't buy a dog unless you have seen it run.

I bought dogs at guys word, sorry to say only 1 was worth a hoot,I lived 600-1000 miles away ,everyone was either not started, had RED mange, total mouthy, manshy, the only thing true was it was a beagle, I spent $3500 or better, SOME would call me a fool  , others would say I was a honest man taking a honest mans WORD,Each and everyone of those dogs were culled or fixed and placed in a home as pets.
I know u should look at EVERY dog U buy but,WHAT HAPPEN TO YOUR SUPPOSE TO BE HONEST AND TRUTHFUL????????
I`m not trying to start anything but THINK """"HONESTY""""---------

No one must have watched them run then! They are fools for taking someones word now a days. I've gotten a few that came from KY over the years and I've seen most all of them run before buying them. Every dog was just as they said. In fact, I have 2 right now that came from KY...

He's about 15 1/4".
Real clean dog, can turn it on when he needs to and won't over run a track. No extra mouth and handles great (we just put the muzzle on him "just in case", he's nipped a couple people but only taken off a few fingers).
Good hunt, but hunts a little wide.
Won't run a deer (at least not very far before he catches it).
Great kennel manners, only barks at night.
$500 cash or will trade for guns, beer, sexual favors, and/or motorcycle parts.
