sons first hunt

Post by heartland5 »

Went to load the dogs up this afternoon and my 5 year old decided he was going too so I got him ready and we took off.Ran probably 3 or4 but only got a shot at one.Would not have mattered if we got a shot or not it was a awesome day to take my son out huntin.I think he is hooked cause he already has his stuff ready to go tommorrow if I don't have to work.Just thought I would share this pic with everyone.I have to admit I am one proud dad right now.Brian

It was definately worth the extra time gettin his stuff together. He went with me during deer season a afternoon and was there when I got a doe.Even though it was a doe I can remember that deer more than any of the others. It was funny when he told his mom about today because the story got bigger and bigger each time.

That is awsome man!!! Always takes me back to my childhood when I hunt with a kid, guess that is why I love it so much. One day perhaps I will have a kid to hunt with :)

Sounds like you have a huntin partner for life and that is great. Hope you have lots more good times outdoors together.

Way cool. I took my 8 year old out Saturday for the first time with a gun behind the dogs. He missed one and had several more close calls. His reflexes aren't quite there yet. :) He did manage to get a nice fox squirrel though. We had a great time.

Well,we went out again today and never got a shot.We ran 2 but they always went where we were not.Oh well,he had fun listening to the dogs and sliding down the hill on the snow.I don't think it will take alot alot of trying to get him to go again.Brian
