A general forum for the discussion of hunting with beagles, guns, clothing and other equipment and just talking dawgs! (Tall tales on hunting allowed, but remember, first liar doesn't stand a chance)
Yest. was a day to remember here in VA. We dropped 14 dogs on the ground and had some great running. For the 3rd day in a row, we had the 1st rabbit running in less than a minute. We dropped the tailgates at 6 a.m. and the running was consistent until I took this pic at 11. Many circled rabbits to the gun w/ minimal breakdowns and even fewer lost rabbits. It was good to get out and run w/ the guys and as you can see, we have a new man's man in the pic. Kudos go out to Justin (11 yr. old) for getting up at 3:30, hanging w/ the guys, and giving us laughs to carry us throughout the morning. The dogs did their part and most of us did ours, cough cough
Looks like you guys had a great time!! Rabbits had to surrender to that kind of dog power. Man, what's a guy got to do to get an invite? I like to run dogs, I like rabbits, I like to shoot and miss - Just kidding!!!(LOL)
Tomorrow is my last day of work - then I don't go back till the 27th. Give me a call and let's pick a date. Are you still going to Blacksburg this week?

Guys I had an awesome time down there. The running was prefect. Hopefully next time I will have my pup up and running. Its good to know that he is not gun shy. Thanks again for having me down. Hope to do it again soon.
