Hunter 101,
Yes, three times already, twice Saturday and then last night until midnight and for only being started for three months he is doing super. I hear that every pup in that litter is doing very well and if they are as good as he is, there will be no one selling their pups. He is fast, very good line control, good out of the check area, super hunt (hunts like a two or three year old) ( I have a older dog out of Tony Kildow's turbo grand and one of Swing's dogs with super hunt and this pup hunts like that) has good kennel manners and easy on the eyes. I have been hunting beagles for 28 years and I have never had a more advanced pup three months out of starting, no lie!
Tony I believe has something with that cross between Turner's Simple Pleasure Molly X Lake Ogemaw Red Chief, I called him and told him I vote that he does it again, and then save me one for the future. Jimmy Johnson was telling the truth on this cross and I'm a believer now! This is a "for real pup" and 10 months old. Looking at little pack or pp in the future for him. thanks for asking. dboman

The dogs were running a several yards behind him when he crossed a concrete feed lot with the track and never bobbled got to the other side and caught the rabbit behind a hot water tank, had to be there to see it, I cant remember if Kildow was on that trip or not.

David,
I would love to see Molly run, I have heard from several that have and they all say the same thing about her "super" I'm trying to talk Tony into running her in some little pack trials or pp trials, I heard she already has beaten some of the dogs that placed in the little pack world hunt this year, one in the "top 5" champion class. I really do want to see her run. Maybe someday. thanks David
Anyone else have or seen a super dog they would like to tell us about?
I don't have any great or super dogs right now, matter of fact, I've only had one in my whole 28 years of hunting beagles and he has been gone for 12 years, he was a super patch hound, top and bottom and I can only wish for one more like him, probably never will get another and I can tell you the 13 years I had him I sure took him for granted and if I had it to do over again I would appreciate him more, I sure do now!
One short story about Red and then I will stop talking: My co-worker and I were coming off a hill one day and we jumped a rabbit in the bar ditch that ran across a 40 acre field that had been cut and baled (Hot and dry was the condition). I opened my big mouth and told my co-worker I had a dog at home that could track that rabbit after we got off work and he being a big coon hunter said no way on this earth could that happen, we are still two hours from getting off work. Well, I had two hours to think about what I had said and was looking for some reason or excuse to get out of it but he wouldn't let me. You know the feeling you get when you say something and then you don't know if you can back it up, well, that's how I felt. After work we went and got Red and hurried back to the place and let him out and he went right across the bar ditch and opened up on that track half-way across that field and jumped the rabbit in the fence row on the other side and took the rabbit in a big circle around us for about an hour and I never told my co-worker that I thought it was impossible that he could have done that, I just acted like it was a everyday occurrence, all he would have had to do was turn around and he would have seen my mouth wide open just like his, he is still telling people about it and I guess I am too. Enough about my dog.
I'm still very thankful to have had him for 13 years, I hear several talking about losing a super hound to illness or an accident at a very early age, I always feel real bad for them.
Let us know about your hounds!

Well she went from open to champ in 4 hunts with 2 firsts. Her name was Holbrook's Samantha Maxine. I only ran her once in the champ class and she took a 5th in the Michigan state hunt on pure ice. All five owners in that cast said there wouldn't be many points between first and fifth and there wasn't. I only attend 2 or 3 trials a year so usually take an open class hound when I go. Anyway, she was put down this summer at the age of 11 (near 12) do to health reasons. She could run hare on days other hounds layed around and chewed the ice balls off their feet. Grand Champ? Probably only in my eyes but it will be awhile b/4 she is replaced, if ever. Thanks for letting me tell you about her. She was only famous to me and a couple of hunting buddies but will be missed as much as any. Hare

I have a male out of Showboat and Donkey's Pride named Ty Chy's Cryptonyte he went from an open to a champion in 4 hunts. He won the 1st hunt I entered him in and then got 3rd in the 2nd hunt and a 2nd in the 3rd hunt then won the 4th hunt to champion. He now has 3 wins in the champion class and he is just over 3. He has beat his dad in the run off 2 of the 3 wins in the champions which is what a breeder likes to see.
