Jon, Contact Roy Pasmore he has a real nice Male(Spice) that won the Everett Morgan Classic. Spice can really control a rabbit race, I have three pups from his first litter, great looking pups. They are only 3 months old now. They are out off a Weir Creek female direct from Cruise's Jim Dandy. Roy visits this board and the UKC board.

Jon,
I hunt with Roy every day. His Spice dog can and will control a rabbit race. His Spice dog is Mark V bred topsid and out of a Weir Creek female. I would give Roy a call 740-622-5380 Hey Dale, Roy took his pups out the other day and all they wanted to do was follow Stormy through the woods. Yea Stormy has became a part of the Fat Pack.
To old to cut the mustard, you can always run beagles

Hey, Jonathan could that female be the one you purchased from me here in Spencer, In. as a pup last Spring? If so, how is she doing? I kept a male from that litter and he is great...seems to have been a good cross so far. Early starting and lots of hunt!

weircreek female

Post by jon cornett »

splinter ridge, yes this is the little female i got from you. she started second time in the starting pen. ive been running her with the older dogs and she is right in there and alot of times is getting the checks when there is checks to get. she is a ball of fire and full of hunt. when she grabs a check, the others better get behind her fast cause she will haul it out of there. she is jumping and running her own rabbit. she will only get better. cant wait till gun season. i might try and get a weircreek male to breed back to her, one that is got some hunt also and control and a medium speed. she stayed small, very small but can run with the big boys so to speak. are you planning on any more breedings of this again? thanks jon cornett

I still have the brood female, but I got rid of the male. I'm glad she is working out for you. I took my eight year old son to a youth hunt last weekend and he entered a litter mate to yours, in the hunt. He did fine, (grabbed a few checks from the older dogs). He runs alot around the house. He is small...11"-12"? My son put him on the bench and the judge selected him as the class winner...of course no points were involved, it was all for the youth's fun. If you don't mind keep me posted as she progresses. If you decide to breed her, depending on what you breed her to, I may be interested in a male.

I have a 15 month old red and white male, that I may sell this fall. He is out of the same sire and the dam is a littermate to your pups' mother. I would like to get a little more running time on him before I consider selling him. It's been hot and he hasent been ran, so he is rusty. I don't know whether you would be interested or not, but if not maybe you will hear of someone that will be interested. I wouldn't try to retire off of him by selling him, so the price would be reasonable.

jeff, the little male pup was extremely small and didnt get any bigger and the akc wouldnt register the litter. something about the sire. someone along the line did something wrong so they sent me a letter saying they were scrachting the litter and any progeny and the sire. i gave him away.
