Which do you prefer and why?

Does Advantix kill flea eggs like Frontline Plus?

My vet tells me that advantix kills all fleas within 12 hours. So I guess this means that the adults that jump on don't get the chance to lay eggs. I can tell you this, I started my dogs out on advantix this spring and haven't seen the first flea yet and still haven't had any ticks on them after running.

Out of the two, I'd go with Advantix. Its good for repelling mosquitos as well, and with Frontline, the fleas have to BITE the dog first for it to be effective! It doesn't repel them. I also used Frontline Plus from my vet on a 6 month old pup a few years back, and she screamed while I was applying it ... it burned her entire body!!! Her skin was bright red, we had to wash her immediately and spend more money at the vet to fix what Frontline did. Plus, I used it on all my other dogs that year, and it DID NOT WORK!
BTW, I used Bio Spot on the dog that was burned by the Frontline with no bad reaction and it worked much better for a reasonable price. It contains pyrethins which are extracts from plants as well as Nylar. I've found it to be very gentle and twice as effective as anything else ...

They are both good products I prefer Frontline because it is cheaper . I use it on my dogs with no problems. My dogs stay in the house. No fleas and No ticks .

I use Frontline Plus also and have had good results w/ it. I can't comment on the other stuff though.
