Too many people live in the city and dont know or care who there nieghbors are . Thank god for country folk , i expect if my heeler is running cattle to be dead but as a general rule , people will call if there is problems amongst us. I wish people would just care more about each other. Cant we all get along ?

This whole thread is typical of today's attitude. Just look at all the different arguments about who would do what to who... As I stated earlier, I don't like what happened, but the guy was legally ok with what he did. I think it all started when some old woman sued McDonalds over spilled coffee.... but that is another story altogether.

SB, I can't agree more. It seems easy enough to pick up that phone and call or go round up the cow eating your garden, but in reality, it might be harder than one thinks do to being mad or embarrassed over what has happend (also things in the past).

Why don't we just stop beating a dead horse here and move on.

Southern Beagles, no truer words have been spoken. We even used to help mend the fence when the neighbors cows got out. THey would and did the same for us when our horses got loose. It is a different world nowadays.

i agree things have really taken a turn for the worst, but they are still a lot better than in the great litter box, know as the middle east, their hobbies seem to be mostly setting car bombs and such i think would rather have our problems anytime.

I am not all that old, but I can remember many times as a kid my dad would stop to help someone put in the last load of hay or beat the rain. Even if he really did not know them ( Us boys did not understand, but he did )

My wife works nights in the ER and spends one day a week at a low income clinic so I get volunteered for all kinds of extra chores from shoveling coal to plumbing to just about anything you can think of . and I really do not mind, but I still must admit that I moved way back here in sticks to avoid neighbors and the troubles that go with them.

I may be wrong here, but the pup may have just met up with a man with a grudge. For the record I agree with the idea of teaching the guy a manly lesson........ Been there done that and it still doesn't help an a$$, he is still an a$$

Just some thoughts from a kid who grew up in a coal patch.

According to some on here, you most definately would SB. Heck, you better hope your horse don't get out or he might end up dead also.

The guy better just feel lucky that it wasn't my dog. Dealing with people like that didn't die 15 years ago. I still have my 3ft piece of hose pipe somewhere.

Allen, Where did Alswamper insult you?? Why insult him??? You don't know this young man but I do. I tell ya if I would be PROUD to have Alswamper as a neighbor. I have known him for a few years now and he is one of a few I KNOW I could count on in time of need. HE would be THERE even if he had to lay out of work if the situation was serious enough!
Alswamper is the kind that would drive 2 hours one way to feed your dogs or look in on your house and kennel if you were out of town. He would go out there side by side with ya all night long if you lost a dog in the woods. He would also cry with you when you lost a good old dog from old age. He is a first class young man that still believes in right and wrong! If he looks like a redneck and acts like a redneck then a redneck is a great thing to be!
Alswamper, don't you change a thing!!!!

HERE,HERE!!!!!! I would much rather have a neighbor like Swamper than someone like you Keller. We don't always agree on things but we are respectful of one another. If Swampers a REDNECK, I'm a REDNECK. As a matter of fact all the REDNECKS like Swamper, and I stand up and be counted. The world would be a better place.

If you are going to try and insult someone please do it properly. This is what your post should have looked like.
Swamper you can't be to smart. You are going to take a hose to a gun fight? Peewee Shooter was right you sound like a redneck, most likely look like a redneck. Here is your sign!

I wasn't going to reply to the previous post, but I can't resist.

Man, that was the most intelligent thing I have ever seen on this board! NOT!
