Post by tommyg »

June weather has been cool here so far,I belive its realy affected the running for the good. Been haveing some great chases with very few breakdowns. Been running big Rabbits, not to much trouble with young ones. Hope the comeing months are the same. Good running to all.

I've had some great runs around the house lately, when I turn out the right combination of dogs.I've run these rabbits so much that after a couple of circles they head straight for a hole.

Too hot and dry here. Supposed to be in the 90's again today. Weather guessers say there is a chance of rain. Hopefully they are right. I would think that after the rain I might get some good running in, but who knows. I envy you that still have cool weather, wish I were there with you! :)

I believe its the most small rabbits i have seen in a long time. Evidently they have had a good breeding season to this point. You can only hope you get a big one up or else you spend all your time messing with the little ones. Im just glad im still able to get out there..dont take it for granted folks...cherish every minute.

The weather has been great over here (NY). It hasn't gotten hot here for more than a day or two and I'm not worrying about the hounds getting exhausted the way they normally would this time of year. We've had A LOT of hard rain though - but that seems to flush all the bunnies out once the storms are over with

weather

It has been hit and miss here in North Carolina. We have not had much rain and when it got hot it did it over night. We are getting a little running this week after thunderstorms. We got 1/10 tuesday and 15 miles away got a 4 inch gullywasher in one hour. We got an inch yesterday, may be good this weekend. There seems to be lots of rabbits around for now.

I got out last evening also. There are alot of small rabbits this year. I had the dogs leashed on my way out and saw 2 adults (probably breeding) so I cut the dogs loose and had a good 1/2 hour chase. The 7 month old female was puttin it to them last night. The 2 boys were steppin on their tongues trying to keep up. Rain tonight.
