I have been saving weight circles (10,000 points) for about a year and when I mailed them in to Purina, they sent me a book of 10; $7.00 checks which are applicable to the purchase of their dog food.
The only problem is I specified that I wanted these weight circles to remain in the account so that I could build up more points and eventually get a Cabela's certificate. When I contacted the company they informed me that I had no choice in the matter, my weight circles are only good for dog food coupons.
Has anyone else had this happen??
I do not like the idea of what I think is a "bait & switch" game.

I have had friends who complained about just the opposite - the reps trying to sell them merchandise when they wanted was "checks". Call and make sure you account is not set up as "checks only". I am not a current member but I do not think they care the difference really!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I used to think the merchandise was over-priced in comparision to the rebate checks you could get for the same points but I have not been active for 5 years or more. The really silly one to me back when was the "vet certificates" but they must have been a good thing for some folks.
