Greg,

I don't keep dogs that are not good.

I don't trial and I am not a big breeder. I only keep a few dogs at my place. I am just a gun hunter. If I am even considering breeding her you can bet she is going to be a rabbit dog.

John,

I agree there not from a specific family of hounds but they are from a specific type of hound.

I really like the mississippi dogs and Homer is throwing very consitant traits.

I'll keep ratteling cages untill I come up with somthing.

Thanks for all the input.

Sometimes "scatter-bred" dogs are better bred than the family stuff. The reason is simple actually, with all those different families wrapped up in one dog it would only have been done that way because each dog in the pedigree is a GOOD quality animal. This isnt always the case with the nicest appearing family bred dogs who may have been bred together because of quality blood behind them and not because they were good themselves. The "type" and traits selected are always more important than the style which brought them out.

Rob,

I just remembered a good Father x Daughter cross that happened to be with the bloodline that you run! (Homer X Sissie) Sissie is (Homer X Mandy)

Sudduth's Mississippi Jim and Legue's Southern Buck
both ARHA PP Rabbit Champions and bench champions!!
and I believe their sister Rose had a win?

I was so impressed with Buck and his pedigree that i bred to him shortly after his 1st birthday. That breeding produced RCh Legue's Scamper.

Sadly these two hounds met untimely deaths. Jim was killed in a dog fight, and Buck died from a strange virus or something?

Something to think about,
