Microchips in Dogs?

Microchips in Dogs?

I want to “Micro Chip” my entire breeding stock of dogs (15 to 20 dogs). All my dogs are registered with AKC. I would like to register all my dogs chip numbers with AKC and all the other organizations that keep “chip records”.

1. I want a universal gun that reads 3 or 4 different types of chips. I need a price.

2. I need a price on what the cost is for the chips and to register each dog with all the registries.

3. Is the name of the chip registry that AKC uses “Home Bound”?

4. I need the device that implants the chips, along with instructions on how to implant the chips. I need a price for this also.

Thanks!

Chips

I don't know why you would want a scanner. I have AVID chips in my dogs, if there is a question of ownership on any of my hounds, I show my certificates to the local law. The chips are installed with a large guage needle. I believe the chip is the best way to prove ownership, but if a dog is lost or stolen, it still must be found first.

Thanks! I’ve been doing business with “Jeffers” for over 20 yrs. I didn’t know they carried “chips”.
