You might try talking to Doug Bragg. He lives near Milton WV. That should be real close to you there in Logan co. He plans to raise a couple of litters this year. Like me, he prefers open marked tri-colors, so he will be more likely to let go of the lemon and white pups. I think most of the females are spoken for, but you might be able to get a male from him if your interested. I'll send you a PM with contact info for Doug.

I just got two really nice pups from Dewey Harless. Their pedigree is on the info forums. I think that they are gonna be real stem winders. I would like to find a good broke male or female Patch.....Lemon and White of coarse. Thanks, Sonny

My brother-inlaw and I recently bought some young dogs out of Plowboys Boss Man. They are all in the 13 to 14 inch range. The thing that impressed me was the hunt these dogs have to them(not under your feet waiting on you to jump for them). All four of them appear to be tight mouthed until the jump and can keep the rabbit moving at a good pace. We have 1 lemon and white and three tri-colored and all appear to be making some find dogs.

I am from West Virginia and have had patch hounds for around 10 years now I guess. I am not what you would call a breeder but do breed a female occasionally to try and fill the void in my pack. I am located in Moorefield, Hardy County, and I will be planning to breed a female this spring to my old male. I might have a lemon/white male for sale but he is young and needs alot more time. I have busted him on deer and he has turned them down a couple of times for me now. But I think you will find out that not too many females come up for sale. Usually people that have good ones tend not to get rid of them. You can e-mail me if you like and talk some more. (jeye@frontiernet.net)

Sonny, Dewey is a great guy. I'd trust him as much as anyone in beagles.

I live about 25 minutes from Logan, but I don't know anyone with Patch blood anywhere close. Some of the UKC guys around C-Ville may know but I can't think of a one.

Try Carl Wireman in Royalton Ky, he took 4 of my best bred off-spring that direction a few years back & has some 6 month old of both sexes he raised & would sell, I think. They are ready to start, he called me last night to get some pedigrees on them.
Good luck,
Plowboy
