Not looking to buy ; just wondering if any made top notch hounds especially the males. I may be interested in breeding to one. I know Andy Howard is pleased with Sarge (Chance x Val) & TGKY has the open marked blue eyed Shooter x Star male near Cincinnati that was doing really well. I would appreciate any info good or bad. Charlie (cottontail commandos) on this board has a super 13" male from the Shooter x Star cross in Canton , OH. Anyone have a nice 15" male from this litter? Thanks

I am very pleased with Primetime Sarge. Everytime I run him, he seems to get better. I was concerned with his hunt when I first got him, but his hunt is well above average now. When he smells a rabbit he goes wild. He is fast, at least an 8 plus, runs a good line for his speed, has brains, I've seen him walk out baby rabbits and then push them when they move. He also has a huge nose, but still uses his mouth the right way. He is a super nice hound. And his mouth can be heard over everything that I own. I am getting really good reports from his offspring, which just now going on a year old. I am a big fan of the Pound the Ground Chance and Valentine cross.

What kind of female is Wells wood miss fortune. I have a female out of her and Isons colonel cobalt. She is 9 months old and can smoke a rabbit.

Actually, she was a gift from Alan DeCeasare from New York. I had sold her dam, Wells Woods Crystal to him & he bred Crystal to his male Snowshoe Run Huntin' Buddy. She wasn't ran hardly at all , but because I knew the potential Crystal had as a young hound & how much Alan likes her sire, Buddy, I bred her to Colonel who I had just bought. I have heard good reports on all six pups. I don't own any dogs right now, but I plan to get back into beagling one day soon.
