shorts dogs

Post by bgalmania »

I am looking for a shorts bred FC to breed to my female. Has anyone seen Shorts Bro, Shorts Casey and Shorts Pro and seen them run. I am interested in what speed, mouth and hunt these males have. Or does any one know of a excellent male that is shorts breeding that is a FC that they would recommend. Thanks for any help in this matter.

I own a dog that is heavy short's bred. He has two wins and is going to win the UBGF 15" top performing hound award this year. He won the 2003 MAB all-age run off last year. He is only 3 years old and he wasn't trialed at all as a derby. He won three CHB trial this year but one was not licensed so he has not finished yet. The MAB run-off last year was not licensed either or he would already be finished. In total he has won 4 trials and had many places this year. I hope to finish him this fall. I have a few pups out of him as does my buddy I bought him from. They all look very nice for this years derby season. His speed is med-fast.

Contact Vic Costanza. He has a FC SHorts male at stud. I watched him run this weekend. Not my style dog, but he can run a rabbit.

Pro & Bro are with P.D. Short who lives in Carterville, IL, only about 110 miles from you. Well worth the trip to watch them run if you are considering breeding to either of them and an morning with P.D. is always memorable. Give him a call 618-942-6065.

Thanks to all who have replied. I did take a trip down to see and hear all three dogs run. I had a great time. P.D. has some good dogs and a great place to run them.

To guest - I think you may have both me and fuzz pegged wrong, if I can speak for him for just a minute. We are familiar with lots of dogs, but I can tell you we would not profess to be real knowledgeable on shorts dogs as this definitely ain't what we run. I run mostly little pack and he runs mostly Midwest spo and there aren't going to be any shorts bred dogs at these formats as they don't fit the format. I have seen a few of them run, but no Field Champions, I definitely wouldn't consider myself knowledgeable about the abilities of the different short's bred studs as they aren't the style of dog I run and I have never seen any of the big uns like Line boss, or Pro run
