Reffetts line of hounds

What can someone tell me about this line of hounds??

Dexter has a really good line of hounds. What specific questions would you like to know. The ones I have seen were very hardhunting with no quit. I own a one year old male that I purchased from him a year ago and he is one of the nicest young dogs that I have ever fooled with. Has good hunt Jumps alot of rabbits since day one and runs real good track. Has plenty of foot. He is outta Rabble Rauser (branko) and KY Mtn Kelly Girl (Spur). The spur dogs that i have seen come out of his kennel have been just super hunters and good track dogs. I really cant say anything negative about the dogs I have seen because they are the type of hounds I like. I just took a bitch down there yesterday to get bred. There are several people on here that can tell you with more. Email Lynn Perkins he has owned and been more familiar with this line for alot longer than I have.

Dexter's breeding is based mostly based off of the Northway line of dogs. He does have some FCs that he uses at outcrosses now, but he normally crosses them on Northway bred females. Reffet's Kentucky Mtn Sampson was his main stud dog for years, Sampson is a son of IFC Northway Driver and has thrown countless ARHA LP Champions over the years, He also uses Reffett's Kentucky Mtn Hunter as a stud, Hunter is a son of FC Northway Ninja. He also has FC Branko's Rabble Rauser at stud as well as FC Buddy's Iron Eagle. The last time I spoke with Dexter he was breeding quite a few of his females to a young stud out of Sampson by the name of Reffett's Kentucky Mtn Black Magic. I have not met Dexter personally but have spoken with him via email as well as phone. I plan on taking my Northway/Branko female to his Black Magic dog next year if all goes well. I have seen quite a few dogs out of Sampson and all of them were loaded with hunt and that is what I like about them. Hope this helps.

I have ran Reffett's line of dogs for about 6 yrs now and have known Dexter even longer.These hounds are breed to hunt and account for their game.He has done very well my opinion in producing consistent rabbit dogs with this line.They are linebreed based on Northway spur and in the last few years he has taken his females to his linebreed branko males.
He is starting to take these females(Branko/Northway) back to his linebreed Northway males such as Majic mentioned above and this is making the line even stronger.
I have seen and owned different hounds from different spur males and all seem to have alot in common,hard hunt,good line work,good jump and check ability but with any line i have seen a few bad ones(the % of good out number the bad by alot).
I always like the dogs from Sampson best,but have owned good dogs from Jumpmaster,Rockstarr,Iceman these last 3 where males Dexter used for Stud,all being pups of Spur.
Majic is a well built dog as they make and runs very nice also,i have not seen any pups from him run but there is NO doubt he'll throw rabbit dogs.
