Pete, here's the thread about Shooter at the Ishpeming snow trial :

Sounds like a good hound. He is out of Ranger Dan and Pine Acres Molly.
It's getting into the 30's here for the first time since before Christmas. Feels like 70's, don't even need to wear a coat. I've been out there every weekend since November. Had some tough days but always saw some rabbits. Heck, my dogs will probably have a tough time adjusting to running on bare ground when it gets here in April or May.

Some i have personanlly seen run on snow in tough conditions(old snow, cold temps, tracked up snow) are Doylands Justice dogs, early Branko breeding,DFJ dogs, some shaker dogs, and a Mr.T dog. But,i think a dogs needs to be given alot of time on the ground to make a good snowhound. If he isn't run on snow much, people can't expect them to perform on snow.Plain and simple..
