i just got a dog that goes back to satsuma brreding . anyone tell me what the color and traits of this breeding is.

Usually lemon and white.
Satsuma hounds are generally known to be fast, with good line control, tight in the check area, and explosive coming out.
Hunt until you make them quit, extra loud mouth, and with "big-buddy" type personalities.

Mel Faust lives in Amite,Louisiana from around Oct.-May and spends summers running hare at his place in Maine.I'm sorry I don't have a phone number for him at either place.
His brother-in-law Phil LeCoque also lives in Amite and could get you the contact info. if you can get his number from someone on here.

satsuma was bred to be orange dogs and was fast

i got a 5 year old black brown and wite blanket back tri color female thats satsuma on top and indian hill major on bottom
she runs a great rabbit tight in the check and alot of time runs check free
about a 6 to 7 on speed and is a hunting machine
a great lil dog
